Broad experience from various industries
Rafael has over 25 years experience in leadership as well as successful line and project management in delivering complex projects. His industry experience includes banking, management consulting, data and advertising industry, telecommunications and IT advisory. With his knowledge of both the business and IT sides, he forms a crucial bridge in organizations and transformation projects. He brings people together in their different roles to achieve mutually desired goals.
Years of experience in enterprise architecture and business engineering
Rafael spent 7 years at Credit Suisse in various roles, including leading the architecture office in a large digitalization program, building an innovation team for the application of new digital technologies, and holding a leadership role in the development of the Digital Banking division.
Before joining Credit Suisse he advised clients as a senior manager with KPMG regarding transformation projects and M&A deals in the area of CIO Advisory (IT).
For several years prior to his work with KPMG he was employed in the Swisscom Group. There he was responsible, for example, for strategy work and the business engineering in context of the transformation from analog to IP telephony, the re-engineering and process digitalization of Swisscom's on-site service technicians, or the processual and organizational build-up for the introduction of BluewinTV.
At the Swisscom subsidiaries Directories and local.ch, Rafael was involved in the strategy development for a merger event of three companies, in the course of which he subsequently set up the business architecture and business engineering team.
First professional experiences
After graduation, Rafael worked as a software engineer and project manager at IBM developing customer solutions for industry, the private sector as well as for the banking industry. In addition to developing e-commerce solutions (online stores), he supported, for example, the technical merger of SBG and Bankverein or led implementation teams at Credit Suisse.
