Alessandro has been working in trading and treasury for over 30 years. His most important tasks included:
- Management of interest rate, liquidity and currency risks and trading of repo, money market, foreign exchange, precious metals and options transactions
- Balancesheet management and Group Treasury coordination
- Replication models for MIS
- Repo and collateral management (Eurex and OTC)
- Money market papers and FRN
- Hedge accounting for derivatives (IAS39)
- Placement of fiduciary investments and repatriation management
- Proprietary trading
Beginnings in interest rate and foreign exchange trading
Alessandro learned trading from scratch. At the former SBG, he enjoyed 18 months of special trader training and passed through all the main departments. He then worked in money market trading, where he also spent two 3-month periods in London and New York.
Qualifications
- Matura type D
- Commercial vocational training for high school graduates
- Various internal training courses such as the Advanced Options Seminar
Alessandro's mother tongues are German and Italian. He is fluent in English and French.
